SAMSUNG has again introduced another tab into its arsenal.  And this is supposed to be one of the best tab they offer and let’s find out. Yes you are right the design of this tab is pretty similar to its ancestors. The tab is pretty much like to be used in the portrait mode, denoted by the button lay out.  The golden trim runs along the edges keeps this tab a bit different from other Samsung tab design. This tablet is just 6.6 mm thick and thus it is one of the thinnest tablet in the market. The speakers are found on the top of the tab (on portrait mode). On the right side you can find the power button and the volume button above the micro SD card slot. On the bottom you will find the micro USB & the head phone jack.  The back cover of the tab is dimpled and not removable. Being thin, gripping in one hand would not be a problem.

The tab comes with the super amoled 8.4 inch screen with the HD display. (2560 x 1600 resolution & 359 ppi). There's an RGB sensor inside that adjusts the color balance depending on your surroundings.  The tab has the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 800 Soc with four Krait 400 CPU cores processor running at 2.3 GHz. swapping through the applications is very smooth in this tab. For media the micro SD expandability makes things pretty useful. The sound from the speaker is not of the loudest and richest available but the head phone sound is pretty good. The battery, while playing the video continuously, will last up to 9 hours.  The 8MP camera comes with lots of options like the picture stabilization, HDR, burst mode etc. The picture quality is not too bad, detail is pretty decent and colors also normal and there is nothing to boast about.

The side sync will help you to completely access your mobile through the tab, the remote PC app also helps in some cases. But it’s you who have to decide whether is useful to you or not. There a tons of Samsung software in this tab and most of them are useless and thus occupying the memory space.

Being the slimmest tab in the market after Sony Xperia Z2, it has got its advantages. This tab is 37 g lighter than the iPad mini.  This sleekest design the major advantage. Another notable feature is the screen resolution, high contrast and wonderful colors from its HD Super AMOLED screen.  This tab could be best among the rivalries in the market. The battery life is also pretty good.

The design has nothing new to give you. The appearance is pretty same as old ones. The camera is underwhelming, the picture quality is not so good and it’s slow to capture the shots. The lack of the headphones in such a high end tab need to be mentioned. And the cost is pretty high and even it doesn’t offer much for that price.

The Samsung tab S is the best foot put forward by the Samsung in its Tab category. This is basically for the business professionals who would like to keep a thin golden edged device under the thumbs. If you are bored with the Apple then you can try this. One can go for this tab for the sleekish design and the HD Super amoled display which are its highlights. And for normal use, being soo costly and nothing much to offer, we would prefer to look for the alternatives.
