The Moto X doesn’t have striking design but has a humble and modest appearance. The body is plastic but the ergonomic feel is awesome. The carbon fiber looking pattern design of the Motorola X, gives the phone a superior look.  The overall size is pretty compact.

This phone has a 4.7 inch 720 P display and may not quite match the other phone which offers you the 1080p.  The rich and vibrant colour reproduction along with the great view angles are notable features. The power button and the dedicated volume control on the edge of the phone is very distinct prominent and also have good responses.  This phone supports the Nano Sim card and needs a sim removal tool to take it out. The mobile comes with High Quality noise cancellation system and also with 3 microphones out of which one is dedicated for the touch less control.  The micro USB port is found at the bottom of the phone.  The mobile features the 10.1 MP camera with the f/2.4 Lens and supports Full 1080p HD video recording.  Moto X comes with the inbuilt non expandable memory and even the battery is not accessible.

The touchless control of the Motorola X is quite brilliant.  If the phone is locked and you have enabled the touchless control, the mobile is ready and active even without a touch whenever you say the key phrase.  The active display is yet another brilliant feature in this phone which helps the user to preview the notification without unlocking. The Motorola assist also comes in handy for some user. The Moto X comes with an almost pure version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Jelly Bean on the Moto X looks near identical to stock Android. It's the minor customizations Motorola's made to the camera UI, notifications and always-on voice commands that separate this from the Nexus line

The multi core X8 architecture within the Moto X ) is a combo of a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 1.7GHz,  a quad-core Adreno 320 GPU , one for the contextual computing, the other for natural language processing. The last two cores were made specifically for the Active Display, Quick Capture and Touchless Control to function with optimum battery usage. That means that even when your screen's off, these features are only a flip, wrist twist or voice command away

Let’s discuss the ugly part first , like no one is perfect there are a lots of cons for this Moto X. The first and far most is the display size and the display resolution.  The 4.7 inch display with the 720p display may seem to be bit insufficient as there are rivalries in the market which give bigger screen and full HD 1080p display. Another major concern is that that the user will find a wide range of product in this price range which offer better processor and features than the Moto X .  Moto X also doesn’t allow the user to expand the storage.  Another major con is the camera, even though the mobile has the 10.1 MP camera this mediocre camera doesn’t take great photos. The lack of the OTG support and the LTE also concerns the buyer. The mobile also tends to get warm sometimes. The device easily get hairline scuffs and scratch if you are a careless user.  The mobiles display is not one of the brightest display and so the user might need to struggle a bit to use your phone under the sun

Moto couldn’t be named as the most powerful device but it is still a very good smart phone. Simple beautiful design with 4.7 inch display gives an aesthetic appeal to the phone. Ergonomics perspective of this phone is quite brilliant. The robustness of the phone is notable as it is built to last, the gorilla glass in the front, texture and the quality of the button on the side like the one on a high end smart phone. The software experience is also awesome. The most important feature is the touchless control and the active display.  Another notable feature is the battery life, the multicore system or the X8 system actually gives the superior processing with the optimum battery usage. The 2200 mAh battery will give upto 16 hours even if you are a heavy user.  The speaker audio quality is also notable.

We like the Motorola X for the brilliant active display, processing power and the design features. But we may say that this phone might have failed half way around trying to be a nexus variant.  There are competitors in the market in this price range which gives a better display and processing power. Being a successor of the Moto G, it is never a bargain.
